Any pets?
Yes! Virgil and Ernie (pugs) 13 and 6 respectively; Kilty and Ollie (cats) and a Russian Land Tortoise named Magellan.
What made you choose to work for Nestlé Purina?
I already had a very positive impression of the company having worked as a veterinary technician in a practice that used Purina Veterinary Diets (called CNM back then!) as well as representing the line when I worked for a distributor. But when a sales position became available and I interviewed for it, I was struck by the honesty and sincerity of the hiring manager as he spoke about what the company meant to him.
What makes you stay at Nestlé Purina?
The people! I am so fortunate to be associated with the talent and passion that is Team Vet.
What's your favorite or most rewarding part of working for Nestlé Purina?
Pride. I’m incredibly proud to be a part of this organization. I still smile whenever I see a Purina commercial, advertisement or product.
How has Nestlé Purina helped you grow professionally?
By giving me opportunities to take risks and the freedom to try new things. Both of which end up challenging me and through that, I grow.
Walk us through your typical day at the office.
I work remotely out of my home office in the Hudson Valley of New York State. A typical day does not really exist which is what I love so much. I’m either working from home on projects or upcoming trainings or I’m traveling/coaching a Veterinary Sales Consultant in the field.
What’s something about working with Nestlé Purina that has surprised you?
The atmosphere here is all about being the best you can be. This company continually looks to advance you within the organization, I’ve never worked for a company like that before and it amazes me still.
What items in your office could you not live without?
My laptop and portable speakerphone.
What's your favorite place in St. Louis to relax and unwind?
I love going down to the Arch. I’ve never been up it as I hear the elevator is quite small but I enjoy it’s awesomeness from the ground!
What's your favorite quotation?
What's the most thrilling vacation you ever took?
Going to Hawaii. Swimming with sea turtles ranks at the top of my list for awe-inspiring!
