What made you choose to work for Nestlé Purina? What makes you stay at Nestlé Purina?

Purina has a great reputation. Individuals that I spoke with prior to joining had such great things to say about the company. Plus, I’ve always worked Downtown and the location was great. People are passionate, focused and driven about what they do. There is a great sense of pride in what we do at Purina—it’s our passion for pets.

How has Nestlé Purina helped you grow professionally?

Since my three years with Purina, I have had the ability to earn my Masters Degree and become certified in various training such as the 360 Feedback Tool. These tools along with the support from my management, has provided me the opportunity to continuously learn, grow and develop my breadth of HR knowledge.

What’s something about working with Nestlé Purina that has surprised you?

The friendliness of everyone surprised me. It’s nice that people say "hello" as they walk pass or enter the elevator.

What are some perks at Nestlé Purina that you enjoy?

I enjoy the employee store—the prices cannot be beat. The different vendors that come on-site to promote their merchandise provides us a great way to shop, especially during the holidays. The on-site credit union, coffee bar and the doggie park are a couple of other perks I like.

What is the funniest experience you’ve had at work?

Seeing my boss on the United Way campaign video perform the splits.

Tell us about your pets.

I have a Silky Terrier named Cooper. He is adorable, lovable and energetic.

What is the most exciting thing you are involved in outside of work?

I enjoy crafts, so attending stamp camp, where I make cards for all types of occasions using rubber stamp techniques, gives me a creative outlet. Hanging out with my family and friends is something that I also enjoy.

What items in your office could you not live without?

My tumbler for my French vanilla cappucino.

What’s your favorite place in St. Louis to relax and unwind?

The Face and Body Day Spa. Being pampered is so much fun. But my mom’s house is a close second—I don’t have to cook dinner as often!
