What’s your favorite or most rewarding part of working for Nestlé Purina?
My prior experiences exposed me to a variety of different industrial settings and issues. I often draw on those experiences when trying to develop solutions for our plants. I enjoy problem solving and rarely see the same issue twice, which makes the job very challenging and interesting.
If you knew then, what you know now, what’s one piece of advice you would give to someone coming into the company?
The customers expect and deserve your full attention to their problems.
What are your long-term career goals at Nestlé Purina?
To continually grow and improve while providing the best service to my customers and exceeding my management’s expectations.
What are some perks at Nestlé Purina that you enjoy?
Some of the perks at Nestlé Purina include above average holiday days, the freedom to execute my job in a way that best suits my talents and skills, the opportunity for a better work-life balance, and good financial compensation. Above all this, I enjoy working with a great bunch of people.
What is the funniest experience you’ve had at work?
During our holiday celebration, we produced a parody of "The Office" with hilarious bits that I got to be a part of.
What is the most exciting thing you are involved in outside of work?
My overall calling in life is to be a blessing to all those I come across. Being a leader of the Agape International Fellowship, a gathering of about 40 internationals living in St. Louis, gives me the opportunity to touch the lives of people and help those who are in more need than me.
What items in your office could you not live without?
A coffee mug provided to me by my previous employer who invented the SCADA system in the early 1970’s. The cup says "WILLOWGLEN SCADA." Ironically, 100% of the people who work in control systems know the SCADA system, but have never heard of Willowglen Systems.
What is the most listened-to song on your iPod?
Ravi Shankar, a sitarist
What's one hidden skill or talent you have that would surprise your coworkers?
For every situation or conversation that I experience, it triggers a story or a joke in my head. I may not always get an opportunity to express them, but you may see an unexplained smile on my face.
What’s the most thrilling vacation you ever took?
My trip to Italy a few years ago was the most exciting vacation I have had. But seriously, who needs a vacation when you love to go to work everyday?
