What's on your iPod?: Whatever my kids have put on theirs.
What's your most unusual or impressive skill?: Pretty non-descript here. If there's anything I've worked hard to be, it would be trying to be a good dad.
What are your favorite books?: The Kite Runner, Catcher in the Rye, Interview With A Vampire. Also The Giving Tree and every other book I read to my three kids.
What made you choose to work at Nestlé Purina?: Nestlé Purina to me, offered the opportunity to work for an established company, rich in heritage and secure in its place in the market. I feel the company is secure and respected and translates that to its employees.
What motivates you to continue working at Nestlé Purina?: The motivation comes from respecting what the company stands for, and that is producing high-quality nutrition for pets. We all want the best for our pets and Nestlé Purina strives to provide just that.
What has been the most rewarding thing about working at Nestlé Purina?: Without a doubt, the vast experience I’ve gained. The company is so diverse, there’s an endless amount of things to learn and do.
Describe your greatest experience with Nestlé Purina.: From a personal standpoint, I was able to achieve my goal of making it in the graphic industry. Nestlé Purina offered me the opportunity and the work to succeed in my chosen field. It also makes me feel good when I see a consumer carrying a bag of Pro Plan® out of a pet store. And practically every time I’m there, I see it happen.
What do you wish you would have known about Nestlé Purina while you were searching for a job?: That it was a place that offered such a balance of work life and family life. It’s great to have a job, knowing your own personal life will not be sacrificed.
What is the most gratifying component about your current role?: The most gratifying aspect is in the opportunity to create new things; to take an idea and see it materialize. And in many cases, to be involved in that from beginning to end.
What has Nestlé Purina done to help you develop professionally or personally?: Nestlé Purina has given me opportunity, plain and simple. The opportunity to learn, the opportunity to excel, the opportunity to believe in myself and the opportunity to realize what’s important in life. All these things play a part in how I’ve developed professionally and more importantly as a person.
How has Nestlé Purina supported your work-life balance?: The company works together as a team. Yes, we need to work hard but there’s always that underlying understanding that all work and no fun/enjoyment is not a good thing. By working together we accomplish our goals without sacrificing our life balance.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?: Quite frankly, spending quality time with my family.
