What made you choose to work for Nestlé Purina? What makes you stay at Nestlé Purina?
Nestlé Purina is focused on maintaining its leadership position by thoroughly understanding the dynamic retail landscape as well as the changing needs of the pet-owning consumer. The desire and challenge to remain the premier pet care company is appealing to me.
What’s your favorite or most rewarding part of working for Nestlé Purina?
There’s a real “team” mentality here. The people of Nestlé Purina are easy to work with and know how and when to lean on each other.
What are your long-term career goals at Nestlé Purina?
I’d like to be viewed as a 'change agent' leader who can inspire great creativity.
What are some perks at Nestlé Purina that you enjoy?
My sons really like the Six Flags Family Day and look forward to it every year.
What is the funniest experience you’ve had at work?
I was once walking back from a meeting in another building when a bird above relieved itself on my head. The day had been challenging enough as it was, so that really topped it off!
Tell us about your pets.
My family has a two year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named “Cody.” He’s fairly high energy and likes a lot of attention, but those big eyes always give him the appearance of being surprised, which sometimes freaks me out.
What is the most exciting thing you are involved in outside of work?
I am currently president of our neighborhood association. It’s been a great way to meet my fellowneighbors and brainstorm ways to make our neighborhood a fun place to live.
What’s your favorite place in St. Louis to relax and unwind?
There’s nothing like catching a Cards game at Busch Stadium…a great escape. I also like this wine bar in Lafayette Square – 33.
If you weren’t doing your current job, what would you be doing?
I think I’d be a teacher or a counselor. I am interested in people and understanding what makes them tick, and people usually give me credit for being a good listener.
What’s your favorite quotation?
“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” (Einstein)
