As a supply chain intern you will receive an extensive orientation reviewing the culture of Nestlé Purina as well as category and brand overviews, retail selling and merchandising basics. In addition, you will go through extensive supply chain training providing information on sales, reporting/metrics, business program details and an overview of the corporate logistics department. Following your training, you will proceed to manufacturing training which includes visiting the Davenport and Clinton plants. During the plant visits, you will gain a deeper understanding of the manufacturing process of pet food, transportation, warehousing, raw materials and quality assurance. From this point forward, you will be completing an assigned project which will be formally presented to a leadership team. Throughout the internship you will work closely with your supervisor to review training and project work.
As a member of our team you'll have the potential for growth within your department. You may also have the opportunity to transition to other departments within the company or the broader Nestlé organization based on your qualifications and business needs.
