 Sales Internship - Customer Development


Sales Intern: Customer Development Group


Program Overview

Sales interns are assigned to work on the Nestlé Purina PetCare business or with the Nestlé Retail Operations Center (NROC). Working with either Nestlé Purina or NROC will provide you with valuable experiences within consumer product sales. Working as a Nestlé Purina PetCare Sales intern, you will be calling on our Pet Specialty Stores. If you are an intern on the Nestlé Retail Operations side, you will be selling the entire Nestlé portfolio to retail chains and regional food customers. As a Sales Intern, you will work with a mentor to manage a territory of retail stores and develop the sales skills necessary to succeed.

  • Projects
    • Meet retail sales objectives focusing on the 4 Ps of Marketing - Product, Placement, Pricing and Promotion
    • Identify and analyze segment trends that build incremental sales volume
    • Merchandise and optimize product placement at store-level
    • Record sales information, manage expenses, complete sales reports and develop sales presentations
    • Monitor competitive activity
    • Present recommendations to your Intern Supervisor, Mentor and Director
  • Full time opportunity
    • You will be expected to make meaningful and measurable contributions to our business during the summer, and where successful, we are very proud of our track record for making full time offers of employment to our interns, and then developing them into our future leaders.
