Whether you've come to Nestlé Purina looking for an internship, a training opportunity, or your first professional position upon graduation, we've got the answers to some common résumé-writing questions.

How many pages should my résumé be?
  • Don't feel like you have to limit yourself to one page.
  • We love to see a full résumé that goes into detail about a person's knowledge, work experience and range of skills.
What should my objective statement say?
  • Give us an idea of your qualifications or your career goals in just a few brief phrases.
  • Be specific and tailor the statement to the position for which you are applying.
What should my résumé include?
  • The format of your résumé should be clean and easy to read. Use bulleted, short statements to describe your responsibilities and roles.
  • Include specific dates (the month and year) of your past and current jobs.
  • Be specific about prior/current responsibilities or project work for academic courses that relates to the job for which you are applying. List certifications and awards you've earned and special skills you possess.
  • A helpful tip is to create a running log of your achievements that you update regularly. This way, when it is time to write your résumé you have a reference from which you can pull information.
Is there anything else I should remember?
  • Include an email address and phone number with a voicemail, both of which should be professional.
  • Highlight your skills that best match the job description.
  • Have someone else proofread your résumé.
  • Double-check for typos and spelling errors.
  • Be prepared to upload your résumé in a variety of formats, as online application systems may have different requirements.
