Sales Internship Opportunity

Developing the skills and knowledge necessary for growth.

The Sales Internship program is a 10 week program that will challenge you with varying tasks and projects. During this time, you will be given responsibility and ownership of your projects, in order to provide you with a deeper understanding of our Company and industry. These tasks are designed to help professionally develop our entry level associates, as well as form a mutually rewarding internship at Nestlé Purina PetCare or a Nestlé Retail Operations Center.

Who we are looking for: When evaluating internship candidates, Nestlé Purina PetCare looks for people who are:

  • You must be available to complete a full-time 10-week paid internship during the upcoming summer.
  • Successful degree completion required within 1 year following the end of the internship.
  • Energetic and outgoing individuals with knowledge and/or desire for consumer goods sales experience
  • Based on the needs of the business and the opportunities available within the organization, successful internships may result in regular, full-time sales positions in retail sales, as well as future roles in business analysis, account management and leadership.

Responsibilities: As a Nestlé Purina intern, you will contribute as a full member of our sales team, with several key responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge, awareness and understanding of the Consumer Products and PetCare industries
    • understand the consumer and or pet owner
    • know our brands and the competition
    • identify and analyze segment trends
  • Identify opportunities at retail
    • learn and practice selling skills
    • merchandise and optimize shelf conditions at the store-level
    • monitor competitive activity
    • focus on incremental sales and volume
  • Participate in Marketing and Customer events that strengthen our brands and market share
  • Cultivate internal and external working relationships that provide exposure to multi-disciplines, account management and customer teams
  • Assist on special projects that focus on delivering results against our business plan
  • Assist with our Customer Team on business analysis projects
