 Nestlé Market Audit

Evaluate Company Systems & Communicate Your Recommendations

The Nestlé Market Audit team's main objective is to assess the strength of the Company's system of internal controls and to identify areas where existing practices do not sufficiently mitigate risks to Nestlé's business activities.

The Audit team typically works in groups of 3 to 5 professionals to identify areas where internal control processes require strengthening.

Career Paths You Can Take:

  • Domestic Auditor — Perform audits as a member of our U.S. audit team. Travel to factories, distribution centers, head office sites, and sales offices throughout the USA
  • International Auditor — After working with the domestic audit team and learning Nestlé's business model and internal audit methodology, join the Nestlé worldwide audit team, and further develop your analytical and leadership skills while traveling the Nestlé world
  • Senior Auditor — Lead audit teams in the review of Company operations. Team leaders function as project managers and provide the primary liaison between the audit group and local business unit management

Skills You'll Gain:

  • Understand key Nestlé business processes and hone your data analysis skills
  • Gain insight into overall Nestlé organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and competitive threats and see how these factors impact long-range planning
  • Communicate ideas and recommendations to leaders at all levels across Nestlé

Opportunities You'll Have:

  • Experience a cross-section of Nestlé organizational knowledge through working on audit reviews in all areas and business functions
  • Leverage and learn from the skills, talents, and resources of our global network of audit professionals
  • Directly interact with company management, including the opportunities to present findings and recommendations to executive management
  • Be presented with opportunities for international travel, including long term assignments
  • Develop critical skills needed for organizational advancement

Audit Internship Program

A Team Environment:

Nestlé Market Audit interns participate in real-life audit projects and work along side internal audit professionals over the course of this 10-week internship. Key responsibilities and activities performed by our interns include:

  • Participation by actively performing all aspects of team-based internal control reviews
  • Performing research on best practices and assessing business risks in core company processes
  • Designing and executing detailed testing to assess the strength of key internal controls
  • Presentation of findings and recommendations in meetings with team members and clients
  • Maintaining and enhancing content on our departmental intranet site
  • Supporting completion of other audit department projects and reporting initiatives as assigned
  • High-Impact Projects

High Impact Projects:

Our internship program is as 'real-life' as it gets. Interns participate in up to three key projects over the ten week period that challenges them to perform in depth analysis, assess business processes from a 'big picture' perspective, identify opportunities to enhance company efficiency, and develop value-adding recommendations to be considered by all levels of company management. Formal presentations of findings and recommendations are made to local, division, and executive management.

Performance Feedback:

Nestlé Market Audit provides interns with the formative, hands-on experience and feedback needed to determine whether internal audit is the best place to jump-start their professional career. Coaching and feedback from experienced auditors and members of our management team is a key part of every project. Our team-auditing approach further ensures that interns will always have an experienced team member nearby who can help answer questions and provide additional insights.
