Here are a few of diversity awards that Nestlé Purina is proud to have received:
St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative - The St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative was launched in 2001 as a collaborative effort to help St. Louis businesses develop successful diversity campaigns. This initiative is supported by companies, agencies and organizations in the area committed to attracting, providing developmental opportunities for and retaining diverse employees. The mission of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative is to provide the business community with strategies, programs and solutions that advance a diverse workplace and promote supplier development. It strives to make the region a place in which people want to work, a place in which people want to live and a place to which people want to move.
This program allows mid level managers or a high level individual contributor or professional who has been employed a minimum of 7 years to refine leadership competencies through a strategic curriculum. The Initiative Fellows program features a holistic approach that creates a safe and stimulating environment for participants to receive valuable feedback, self-reflect on the feedback, acquire effective leadership strategies and build relationships that are essential to their individual and collective growth. This initiative's leadership program is a program that allows diverse professionals to address the interests and challenges they may have in their current role. Through monthly leadership training sessions, the Initiative Fellows program provides the tools needed to help participants develop themselves and advance their careers. Associates at Nestlé Purina selected to attend this program feel a sense of pride and honor and have an opportunity to bring these insights back to our organization. Nestlé Purina is proud to be a member and supporter of this initiative.
Role Model for The Starkloff Disability Institute - Nestlé Purina is proud to have been named a Role Model company by the Starkloff Disability Institute. The Starkloff Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting full participation of people with disabilities in society. Co-founded by Max and Colleen Starkloff, the Starkloff Disability Institute is committed to changing attitudes to encourage a more inclusive society. Nestlé Purina proudly supports the Institute and it's mission.
Minority Engineer Top 50 Employer - In 2010, Nestlé Purina was named as a Readers' Choice Top 50 Employer by Minority Engineer Magazine. Companies were chosen by the readers, who nominated them based on likelihood of working at that company and whether the company provides a friendly environment for members of minority groups.
